Discover Exmouth

Exmouth Devon is located at the mouth of the River Exe which comes from a word meaning water or fish. It is 11 miles south east of Exeter.

Sir Walter Raleigh sailed from Exmouth Harbour on many of his voyages. In the 18th century Exmouth established itself as a holiday resort in Devon, visitors were attracted by the views and what were thought to be medicinal sea waters. Exmouth became a place for the wealthy to recover their health.
